Will you please add Local Folders to Android Thunderbird? I use desktop Thunderbird mainly to import mbox files into Gmail (which happily exports them by Takeout) so without Local Folders the Android app is useless for me.

Please reverse the REMINDER PANEL column order to Improve Usability:

NOW: "Event description" (_BIG_ whitespace) "Event Date Time"

SUGGEST: "Event Date Time" (small whitespace) "Event description"

WHY:

"Event Date Time" is fixed-length (short) "Event description" is variable-length (longer)

The suggested column order brings the "Event Date Time" closer to the "Event description" and INCREASES READABILITY.

Thunderbird open when I skip password prompt for more than 4 times. I password protect thunderbird & when I try to open it's prompted for password BUT when I skip it by click on X for more than 4 times Thunderbird opened & I'm able to mail & read mail. It's a security bug so please fix this.

I am having difficulty with syncing my Google and Thunderbird calendars. Thunderbird V141.0

My requirements are quite simple: I want to create new events in the Home calendar and have them synchronize with my Google calendars. I do not need to do it the other way, I just want to be able to see the Thunderbird events on my Google devices.

I have installed the 'Provider for Google Calendar' add-on and then successfully subscribed to my Google calendars. However, when I add a new event to the Home calendar, it doesn't appear in the Google calendar.

I am clearly doing something wrong, so I wonder if someone can help.

For the past 2 weeks, I cannot sign in to my Thunderbird email. I just keep getting a pop-up saying that my password doesnt work. I want to continue with Thunderbird but I am stuck and don't know how to solve the problem. Thank you, Karen

I just noticed that a bunch of data from my Cardbook address book is missing. Some contacts are missing. Some "Categories" that I had created in the past few months are missing. I think this may have happened when a new install of Thunderbird happened but I am not sure. I back up my Thunderbird Profiles most days so have those if needed.

How can I get back the data that appears to have disappeared?

I noticed this problem when I had Thunderbird 140.1.1est 32-bit installed. I then installed 141.0 exe (64-bit). (I also tried installing older Thunderbird versions but didn't continue with those when they wanted me to create new profiles) I am using CardBook ver. 100.4 I am running Windows 11 Pro.

Hello .. I have 500,000 messages in Yahoo email. I have setup the latest Thunderbird in Windows 11. How can i make sure that all the 500,000 emails are downloaded (40Gb) to my Thunderbird on the PC?’ Currently the Inbox shows close to 10,000 emails. I am not sure how to check or ensure that every single email i have in Yahoo is downloaded to my laptop. Have already been running out of space in Yahoo given their new policies of storage. Appreciate the guidance.

I often move my Thunderbird data between my PC's as I move from one base to another and never had any problems in doing so.

I moved my data from my PC in South Africa to the one in Croatia, and now experience problems with one account. I have 5 email accounts on one domain, and these are all working fine.

One email account is for another domain which I have been using for years on Thunderbird, but I now cannot send or receive any emails on that. When receiving it just states "connection to the server has been reset" When sending I get this: "The message could not be sent because the connection to the Outgoing server (SMTP) mail.xxxx.co.za timed out." Nothing changed i.t.o. mail servers. I can send and receive emails on this account via Roundcube though.

I need help with this please.

As an editor I get a lot of emails with attachments, mainly text files (.txt) and images (.jpg). I save them in a folder structure year/issue, so 2025/001, etc.

When I have a bunch of emails and want to save the attachments, it seems Thunderbird does not remember the location I selected last. Only when I have two emails in a row with the same type of attachment (.txt) does it remember. But in many cases I have multiple attachments and select Save All, and then the location is often one level higher than the last folder and sometimes somewhere else, although likely a folder I have used before but longer ago.

What is the logic behind the folder selection when I select Save or Save All?

Setting up Thunderbird for some non-technical users that receive messages with tracking images, scripts etc. We would like to prevent users from enabling/allowing remote content; in other words, we would like Thunderbird not to display the “Preferences” button or the whole “To protect your privacy, Thunderbird has blocked (…)” bar, like it is visible in Remote Content in Messages. Is it doable in current Thunderbird versions?

Setting permissions.default.image=2 seems to actually block remote images even if user tries to allow them, which is good but confusing. It also breaks images in the build-in web browser, it is unintended. We are unsure if the setting applies to all kinds of remote content.

Always indexing/sending - mention of 11,000 messages etc etc

Determining which items to index in Sent....

Is this using resources unnecessarily ?

I have been using Thunderbird on my desktop since the end of Eudora, but moving forward from computer to computer has created some problems.

Looking at Thunderbird here is what I see.

LEN POP which is configured as a POP account with the standard folders: Drafts , Sent, Junk and Trash There is also a folder called Archives with subfolders for the years 2021-2025, There are also a couple of special folders Like News and Events. and a folder called xxx NUL with about 10,000 emails for the years 2022 and 2023.

Then here is GMAIL which is setup as a standard IMAP account. (or some reason copies of some sent messages from the POP account are saved here.

Then there is LOCAL FOLDERS which contains again the standard subfolders, and then more than 20 folders which are populatde by mail filters from the inbox. It seem most of the mail here comes from the inbox in the POP account. (I often see a notice like" 40 messages moved from inbox to inbox."

On my phone and iPad I have my accounts set up as IMAP.

HERE'S THE PROBLEM

From time to time the POP account starts downloading thousands and thousand of old emails. Today it was over 29,000 messages. I disabled downloading of messages and ran the duplicate remover on each folder, and got rid of as many as I could, of of course as soon as I clicked "get messages" the 29,000 mail dumps started again. (This does not happen on my phone or iPad).

It has been suggested that I should switch to IMAP on the desktop, but I would like to filter mail into the same local folders using the old filters, which I have developed over many years.

QUESTION So, Is there a relatively simple way to do this.

I have 3 PCs , I cant send message from them. Message to my gmail accounts is ok. It happends after uppdate Microfoft 2025-8. Somebody who can help me to send email again? I have same email accounts on a Android phone - everything is ok send and get message.
