Hello, I reported this problem and you replied with a solution and that was to downgrade to version 142. My question is: Then what ? Will I be stuck with version 142 for years or is Thunderbird working on a solution to this problem because presently updating to any version such as 144 only continues to erase local folder contents. I use a Powershell script to manually install a Firefox update.

Starting with version 128.10.xx and higher, Update.exe expects different parameters, but I'm not sure what the parameter names mean (see screenshot).

Can someone explain to me what I need to pass for “arg-version” and “wich-invocation”? All other parameters were already present in the previous version of Update.exe, and I understand those, but unfortunately I don't know exactly what I need to pass for these two.

Can the notification for upgrading be controlled on ver 143 on linux. It keeps appearing and as a user I should be able to silience or have it notify me at a period I prefer instead of interrupting browsing.

I have used Thunderbird for years. I am on the esr update channel, 140.3.1 esr, and it says it is up to date. I just learned that there is another update channel, called "release". My Norton Internet Security program tells me that Thunderbird is out of date, and that the latest version is 143.0.1. Maybe it is confused because of the two update channels? Why are two different configurations maintained? Is there a reason that I should switch to the other one? Thanks in advance for any clarification.

hello the flatpak update command tells me that the runtime is eol and its used by the flatpak thunderbird. can you please update the runtime soon? i add a screenshot of the issue, its in german. please review this as fast as you can please greetings oski
