I have a HP office jet 6500 printer. It has been working fine from my Ubuntu Computer using Firefox . Since downloading the latest version of Firefox I cannot connect to the printer and there for cannot print or scan.

The printer is still working normally from a second computer using Windows10.

I have tried re installing the printer but that has made no difference.

I am wondering if the problem could be caused by the Firefox fire wall. Help please. Please note I don't even know enough to be dangerous so any help will need to be extremely basic. I know my name everything else will need to be explained step by step,

Thanks

John

In my case, just after the sept. 7th, 2021 Firefox update, my HP printer quit printing material from the screen of my iMac. (e.g. receipts) I could still print from scans, and copies of printed items, and from the HP printer online help.

Surely, in this day of the much touted 'artificial intelligence', a user of the internet should not have to experience such glitches. AI should be able to identify and fix problems BEFORE a user even experiences the problem. I have the same issue with other company's apps, such as Garmin.
