I used to be able to edit existing bookmarks. What happened?
I updated to Firefox 29 recently and I see that now when I go to edit an existing bookmark by right clicking on it, properties and most other options are greyed out. How can I enable these greyed out options?

Could you describe where you are seeing this problem? Firefox can display bookmarks (and you should be able to edit them) in any of these places:
- Bookmarks button menu (main toolbar)
- Bookmarks Toolbar
- classic Bookmarks menu (on the menu bar, tap Alt to display if it's not usually displayed)
- Bookmarks Sidebar (you can use Ctrl+b to open and close it)
- Library dialog ("Show All Bookmarks" or Ctrl+Shift+b)

Can you edit the bookmarks via the Details pane in the Bookmarks Manager (Library)?
- (3-bar menu button >) Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.
Firefox seems to have a bug where after you go into Customize a couple times, the right-click context menu may be grayed out for items on the Bookmarks Menu. This is not a new issue, apparently, but because so many people are using Customize today, it is getting noticed by more people.
