want to save my bookmarks so if my laptop is stolen(again) I won't lose them. How do I do this?

I have had 2 laptops stolen in the past and both times I lost my bookmarks and had to start again. I would like to know how to save the list so this doesn't happen in future.

Go in to the bookmarks library and choose the backup option. Remember of course to put the files somewhere safe, not on the laptop. You will need to take care in that restoring any such backup overwrites your existing bookmarks, so always save existing bookmarks.

There are also utilities available to backup bookmarks, and Firefox4 and above there is the built in sync option, which may be slightly inflexible but will do the job for you. The sync option will save your bookmarks, and you could then restore them to a new computer, as long as you plan ahead and save your account information.
