Firefox always opens on a Mozilla Support page instead of a browser. I have set Firefox as my default browser, restarted my phone and still get the same outcome.

That's potentially just the last tab from last browsing. If you close it and get to just your default home tab content and restart, what happens then? Or check your settings what you have set as the home page, if that unwanted page is actually set as your home.
