Thunderbird stopped working overnight, and now refuses to launch.
I have a fairly old Thunderbird ESR Flatpak installed on my System76 Meerkat. Yesterday, it was working just fine. This morning, it refuses to launch, giving no error message from the desktop, and behaves as if something has been deleted.

With some help from System76 support, I found that I could launch from a command line with "flatpak run org.mozilla.thunderbird_esr," giving a message that the application ID had changed, on Monday, to "org.mozilla.thunderbird_esr."
I also found a .desktop file in my .local/share/applications directory, from the original installation, modified with a custom icon. I tried changing the exec statements therein from "thunderbird" to "thunderbird_esr," but it still doesn't work.
