FoxFire losing functions
Of 3 macs in the house, all on OS12, the one on ethernet to the ISP has been failing regularly: 1.) fails to collect history 2.) fails to present long-time home page 3.) if it does boot-up properly, expected behavior slows down markedly during a session on the computer (Usually rebooting the entire machine restores this. This morning even that didn't work.)
FoxFire (v146.0) crash report is available. Here is infor on machine:

For #1, I assume you are not using a private window, where it is normal not to accumulate history. It is more likely to be an issue with Firefox not able to work with the database that stores history.
Could you let us know what you get when you run the "Verify Integrity" diagnosis and repair function. That's here:
Open Firefox's Troubleshooting Information page using any of these methods:
- "3-bar" menu button > Help > More Troubleshooting Information
- (menu bar) Help > More Troubleshooting Information
- type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter
Near the bottom, there is a section titled Places Database -- that's the file which stores history and bookmarks. Click the button labeled Verify Integrity. There may be a 10-15 second delay before results appear.
If all is well, the report that appears below the button should start with:
> Task: checkIntegrity + The places.sqlite database is sane + The favicons.sqlite database is sane > Task: checkCoherence + The database is coherent > Task: expire + Database cleaned up
et cetera
Does yours say the databases are sane and coherent, or something else? You can select and copy the report, and then paste it into a reply for review and comment.
For #2, does your home page load in a new window (Command+N)? If it works there, then the startup discrepancy could indicate that Firefox is restoring your previous session. If it doesn't work there, what are you getting instead? These might be relevant:
For #3, this can vary based on how many tabs you keep open, etc. If you keep the built-in Task Manager (Shift+Esc or about:processes) open in a tab, you can use that list to spot processes which are particular resource hogs.
You mentioned crashes: do you mean you submitted crash reports using the Mozilla Crash Reporter, or that Firefox froze up and you force-quit it? For submitting crash reports, you can share the report ID here, as described in the following article: Firefox crashes - asking for support.
