If using a recent version of THunderbird, there is a delete button on right side of account pane. If an older version, there is an 'account action' menu in left sidebar of account settings pane
the red button in the account setting pane don't work in ThB 143.0.1 !!!
I have migrated the profile files from my old PC to the new one (WS11) after creating thunderbird with my 7 email accounts and now, all the email accounts are duplicated (and I receive notifications for new messages twice !!!). I'm looking for a solution for this problem.
Is there just one account in thunderbird? The button does work, as I just tested it.
Forget my last response, as I see you have seven accounts. are you trying to delete the default account? That may be the issue.
No ! I have 7 different email accounts (this is why I stick to TDB even though it is now possible to manage this with some other products (e.g Google gmail).
Solved the problem. Do not know exactly what I did wrong the first time but everything looks OK now. Thanks for your interest anyway.
