I am installing Firefox (Latest from website) on a windows11 laptop. I had firefox many years ago and uninstalled it. I am reinstalling and I get a pop up that states: "Firefox is already running, but is not responding. The old Firefox process must be closed to open a new window:"

I have uninstalled and went through my laptop to remove all references from firefox. Task manager shows no sign of mozilla or firefox running processes.

A check of the crash log is empty.

Thank you for your response. I found it in %APPDATA% there was an old Mozilla directory from many years ago. When I deleted the directory all works fine
