Hi

So I started up just now and when I started firefox it asked me what profile I wanted to use. I have only ever used one profile but I do believe there are some default ones as I seem to remember seeing multiple ones when I did some customizing awhile back.

Anyways I chose the one I always use and it loaded fine but I noticed in my task bar that the icon now shows a small profile icon.

I want the firefox icon there but I DO NOT want the profile icon on top of the icon as so many icons will pop up showing how many alerts you have and such and I DO NOT need a useless alert on the icon telling me which profile I am using.

I posted a screen shot of what my icon now looks like where as this morning before an apparent update it just showed the normal firefox icon.

So is there a way to remove that profile icon from the firefox icon?

Also I have noticed on my right click menu where I can select to open in a new tab and such it has also added grouping features to group tags. Is there a way to remove these unwanted options as I DO NOT want to group my tabs and it's annoying when I accidentally click that option instead of the new tab option. So for this is there a way to remove certain menu items that I do not need or want? I also added a screen shot for that menu question as well

If I change to a different tab (from Xfinity) and go back I am getting logged out and have to re log back in, even if I check the box "Remember Me" This does not happen with Edge, and seemed to happen from the latest update from Firefox on Oct 20th, 2026. Is this going to be the new normal

Hi team,

in my company's laptop, i setup my firefox all good. I am trying now to setup my company's desktop, i am signing in and instantly getting disconnected and shows me that account is disconnected. if i browse accounts.firefox.com i can sign in and stays signed in but the sync is not working with that way. [tried to create new profiles, removed app data files etc etc, nothing worked]

how do i fix my firefox? so this is my first time using firefox because i think this browser is fun but ITS MAKING ME DIZZY, why when i open firefox it opens two windows of firefox? i searched on google, ask ai and evrything it doesnt work. So please help me firefox

ive just downloaded firefox and its giving me performance issues I play gta 5 all day with my chrome tabs open maybe more then 5 sometimes more then 8 and When I had more then 4 or 5 tabs my gta 5 started to lag when i opened my task manager i see that Firefox is using more then my Game.

I Have Windows 11 and Firefox version 158.How do I stop getting gray Mozilla Firefox pop up boxes with notifications in,sometimes get 2 the same.Firefox is my default browser.

So MANY times I see this warning!......

Then I have to close everything out and start allover. I have cleared my browsing history, cleared all cookies and everything else possible,turned off my desktop, unplugged it and pressed the power button just to browse a few more minutes before that message pops up again. I have even goe so far as to unplug my modem, and router for 20 minutes. My desktop is hard wired to the internet.

When I try to open Firefox browser, it keeps giving an error message stating that the browser is already running. I've tried to clear cache and other recommendations that were provided, without any success. I am unable to even get on the landing page of Firefox, the one time that I managed, all my shortcuts were missing!

Firefox spotted a potentially serious security issue with schoolscholarship.cg.nic.in. Someone pretending to be the site could try to steal things like credit card info, passwords, or emails.

schoolscholarship.cg.nic.in has a security policy called HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), which means that Firefox can only connect to it securely. You can’t add an exception to visit this site.

How about moving the pop up away from the original text, so we can see both at once?

Or show the original text in the popup as well? It really helps to be able to see both at once.

Otherwise, it's a bit of a hassle to use.
