I can't get Firefox 4 to run my my home PC, but was able to download and use on my work PC. Both run on XP.

After Firefox 4 installs, I get a window that says it is checking compatibility of my add-ons. That window hangs.I kill the Firefox process and tried to start Firefox. No window opens, but there is a Firefox process running. I uninstalled Firefox, but left my settings intact. I tried installing fresh from IE and the install process seems to finish, but again, I cannot get Firefox to run. There is a process running, but no window ever opens. I am able to install Firefox 3.6.16 and use it with no problem. I have successfully installed and used Firefox 4 at work, but I probably don't have exactly the same add-ons.

I have Windows XP and I have Java Script enable checked ..it will load up the site, but it won't let me go to my homepage which is Yahoo. How can I get the new firefox to work? It show Error #1 everytime I have installed and uninstalled firefox. Do I need to go back to using 3. something instead of the new version 9. something?
