I want tabs to be restored on reopening. They aren't

After closing, tabs that were open aren't restored as they used to be.

I've read several replies to people asking how to get TB to restore the open tabs, and none of them seem to be solutions. I don't want to use tags, or anything other than for the behaviour that was there and that was useful, to be reinstated.

The only question is:

how to make TB restore open tabs after exiting the software?

Thanks in advance.

Chosen solution

Help/Troubleshooting Info, Profile Folder, Open Folder, close TB, delete or rename session.json. Restart TB a few times and see if tabs opened at exit are open on restart.

Thanks for replying.

I've opened in the Default Profile Root Directory C:\Users\x\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxx.default

There is a file sessionCheckpoints.json. Is that the one to delete/rename?

The file to delete or rename, with TB closed, is session.json (see picture). If it isn't there, something is interfering with normal operations, such as the CCleaner app.

Thanks; that's worked. I had trouble finding the JSON file because I'd opened the FIREFOX troubleshooting info by mistake :P

Tabs are now restored on reopening TB.
