User name drop down tabs

When I go to a website to sign in with my user name or email a drop down tab appears with an assortment of previously used emails or user names from earlier times. I do I stop this from happening? In settings I am already using clear browser history when Firefox is closed. I have never used the lock-site feature and it currently is empty. I just don't like this feature and do not want it. Help. Thank you.

That could be the form filler built into Firefox. Click in the field, enter a character or two and STOP ! Using the arrow keys, highlight an unwanted entry. Then press Shift + Delete

Repeat as needed.
