web pages don't display but address is shown at tabs, can't see options but other menu options seem to be okay. I uninstalled and erased all related data (I could find) multiple times and reinstalled multiple times but problem remains. I tried refresh, safe mode, etc. At installation I get error VCRUNTIME140_1.dll not found, a susequent installation finishes without errors. I am sending this from another system because I can't use the problem unit for this post. The problem system is similar to this one. I am puzzled and seek help.

Further, after comparing the installed versions of Visual C++ at these two systems, I noticed 2015 & 2017 were missing at the failing system. How this happened is beyond me. Anyway, following "cor-el"'s suggestion I installed "Visual Studio Community 2019" and Eureka it works again.

Check if there is an updates to the drivers https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration

To open Firefox in SafeMode holding down the Shift and on Mac Options key, and then starting Firefox. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode

treg:

do a windows search of your disk for:

VCRUNTIME140

there should be a bunch of them, plus 1 in the Mozilla FF folder

You can check for issues caused by a corrupted or incomplete Visual C++ installation that is missing runtime components (Redistributable Packages) required by Firefox, especially VCRUNTIME140_1.dll.

See "Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019":

The working system and the failing system has the same occurrence of VCRUNTIME140_1.dll (two entries)

The file might not be registered properly.

Did you try to reinstall this component ?

I noticed in Troubleshooting info: Launcher Process: disabled due to failure address bar entries about: ...... don't work
