I can't delete an address from the address bar.
Firefox 78.0.2. In the address bar, when it is opened, there are addresses in the list of suggested addresses that I need to delete. Previously, I could just hover over a tab, press the delete key, and the corresponding address will be deleted. But since some time everything has changed and now nothing can be done there. I looked at the Firefox FAQ and found that you need to delete such addresses using shift+delete, but this also does not work. I've been trying to do this all day, but I can't do it. How do I do this? Why do such simple things cause such difficulties now? It used to be a very convenient browser.

You can only remove history items via Shift+Delete.
Bookmarked items have a small star attached and pinned top sites have a small pin attached.
Top sites can be removed on the Firefox Home page.

The location bar drop-down list can show history items, bookmarked pages, pages opened in tabs, top sites, and search suggestions.
You can set what suggestions show when you enter an URL in the location/address bar bar.
