Firefox has crashed a number of times on me, some crash reports send and some fail to send. The most recent crash is the worst (and the first time I've had this one happen) so was paying attention to make sure it sent, but it didn't. I had started up firefox to do a Google search, it was just whirring around taking ages (even went and made a cup of tea) and getting nowhere. I eventually shut it down and restarted it, I did this a number of times but it didn't help, so used Chrome. After I had done that search and a few other tasks on Chrome (and as firefox was the one that I did prefer to use), I tried to start it up again and this time I got a message that said "firefox is already running, shut that down first and retry or restart system" (sorry, won't be the exact message, but something like that). I clicked ok and checked, there were no windows open, it was not running, I tried again, same thing, so I opened task manager and nothing was running. I gave up and shut down the computer, when I needed to use it later, I thought I would try firefox, before using Chrome again, it started no problem, so far. Any ideas why this happened and/or any ideas on why crash reports fail to send.? Thanks.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

While still in Safe Mode,

Some of your crash reports weren’t sent to the Mozilla Servers.

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most resent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box below and paste them in.

If Firefox still has problems,

Start your Computer in safe mode with networking. Then start Firefox. Try Safe web sites. Is the problem still there?
