Opening a new tab sometimes give a loud blast of trumpts, why
For some reason, all of a sudden I receive this ear piercing sound of trumps blaring away apparently because I have opened a new tab. This has only happened after receiving a request from Mozilla Firefox to update. It only lasts a short time, but the blast is so severe that it is uncomfortable to hear. I have Windows 7. Help !!

Two additional tips:
(1) You can "zoom out" on the New Tab page to show more tiles, for example by holding down the Ctrl key and tapping the - key. Even if you only see 8 or so, Firefox builds 15 of them by default to accommodate larger displays and the problem could be one of the ones that doesn't show at your standard zoom level.
(2) Focus your investigation first on tiles that are blank. When Firefox didn't create the thumbnail image of the site successfully, then it tries to create it in the background when you visit the page, and that can trigger the download and playing of music.

I think this sound comes from a tile (actually as if the website was really displayed) on the New Tab page.

By the way, this background audio on the new tab page will be blocked in Firefox 41, but that won't be out for several weeks yet.
