On a fresh instalation of Thunderbird running on a fresh instalation of Windows 7 the menu drop-down list do not work. On clicking the list the drop-down appears but insted of being filled with options it tryies to squeez in a copy of the whole thunderbid window - see the print screen.

When restarted in safe mode it works OK.

Any ideas how to solve it?

Can you check your graphics drivers are up to date and retest.

Also, when you say Safe mode - are you refering to Thunderbird Safe mode or Windows Safe mode?

@Toad-Hall Safe Mode I meant Thunderbird safe mode The graphics drivers should be up-to-date as it was a fresh install of Win 7, with hours and hours of automatic updates. But I will recheck - unfortunatelly I won't be back in the office before Monday. Thanks for replying!
