Other than the normal spam within this spam filter...

This is a screen shot of the new 115.1 Thunderbird.

You will notice the rows are jammed together to make it illegible. I tried changing the font size, it didn't improve or make worse the jammed together rows.

The settings page has nice rows, the calendar has nice rows.

However the inbox and the list of accounts is gross.

First I will need to downgrade to the previous version without losing my data...then tell me how to adjust the row spacing?

Hi all,

Just upgraded to Thunderbird 115(from the last Non beta version).

I have multiple email accounts.

When I click to the inbox off one of my gmail accounts it does not display to the last message received. Thunderbird opens to a message about 1/4 up into my inbox.

I have a second gmail account and this behavior does not occur.

I'm sure its a easy fix, I just can't figure it out .

Thunderbird seems to have 'reset' my inbox and only showing emails for the last few days. Previous ones can no longer be seen. But they are all there, the inbox size indicates this and I can see them in mbox viewer. is there any way I can copy/move them to another TB folder, or restore them to inbox? Thanks for any help.

I've been noticing a rendering issue on my Ubuntu 20.04 LTS machine running the i3wm. The integrated message display will sometimes get into a state where the control buttons and message headers are positioned incorrectly. See the attached screenshot. Standalone messages (i.e. displayed in their own window) are not impacted. The only way to resolve this behavior that I've found is to restart Thunderbird.

Thunderbird Version 102.15.1 (64-bit)

Hi all Since 26/09/2023 I haven't been able to receive or send emails on my main dektop PC. At first when trying to download e-mails I got a "Secure Connection Failed" error. I was using version 115.15.1(?) It has since updated to version 115.3 and the error message hasn't re-appeared, although I still can't send or receive anything. When I try to send an email I get this message: Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because connecting to Outgoing server (SMTP) relay.plus.net failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing SMTP connections. Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again. I have a laptop where I have copied all the account settings across to and that works perfectly. (on the same internet connection)

I am using Win 10 64 bit with Thunderbird 64 bit and Kaspersky IS, with Mozilla as an exception in the firewall settings.

I am a bit of a numpty with email programs, so have no idea where to start.

Sorry for going off-topic - Initially, "Clearing "Junk" folder", I expected to be a very simple question - BUT - NOT.

Anyway, you answered "How to clear the "Junk" folder & size" (It makes no sense to me - BUT - gets the job done) - Thank you.

The image of my folder structure I sent the first time was before I learned of "***" / "Show Total Message Count" & "Show Folder Size" which I like to know (NOW - I know).

Hi,

Started getting this error on my laptob: Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: sender rejected. The email address you are sending as must match the email address you used to auth. Please check your SMTP settings. AUP#Out-1500. Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again.

I can send on a desktop machine with the exact same TB settings. Both Windows 10, TB 115.2.3(64-bit). Any ideas?

On latest version 115.3.1 (64 bit) when I click on GET MESSAGES nothing seems to happen for several minutes than after repeated clicks on same suddenly line at bottom shows downloading some number of messages. Is this something I am doing to slow what used to be very speedy process to download messages from Comcast server to my PC?

When I opened Tbird app today, my messages show in various folders but only a list of messages, not a screen to view contents of message being examined. I did not do anything I am aware of to change this and haven't been able to locate setting to turn on the message content view again. Also on list of messages, they are shown but with a much wider spacing (double space?) with lot of wasted blank space. How to correct this?

With the update of Thunderbird, I can no longer download new email to one of my accounts by clicking "Get Messages". Clicking on Get Messages returns "The STAT command did not succeed. Error getting message number and sizes. Mail server *** responded: [AUTH] Invalid credentials." The *** reference is to my Gmail account and the error names the Gmail account. I am trying to get messages from my other account, which is my main email account. Both accounts are registered with Thunderbird.

The incoming server is a POP3, and the user name and default port of 110 are correct. Connection security is "None" and Authentication is "Password,transmitted insecurely ". The password I am using is the correct password.

I am using a Mac with Big Sur (macOS Monterey Version 12.7), and my email is POP, using Thunderbird Version 115.3.0. My incoming messages are sorted in reverse order so that the latest message is listed first. I retrieve the message headers first then I either delete the message or download the contents of the message. The problem is that when I download the contents of the message Thunderbird does download the message BUT it highlights the message just downloaded and it jumps to the next message. This is very annoying because in order to read the contents of the message I have to go back one message and purposely select the message just downloaded. It did not do this previously.

, you will see soon the problem I had since the latest update. There is not an automatic line feed at the end of the visible frame, but somewhere later. You can easily understand, that this is a real problem, as you need to write some words blind, without having the chance to check this.

Remark: Due to ALS, I have to use the eye-tracker to write, as well as a special software. But the situation is the same, also with a standard keyboard.

I hope to find a checkbox in program-settings, which may solve this problem, but I didn't find.

What to do? Maybe "down-date" to the former version of thunderbird, in which everything was okay, with a line feet automatically at the end of the visible line?

When deleting an email, another email higher up in the list - which isn't selected - also gets deleted

When I go through my email list, I delete the currently highlighted (selected) email by using the delete button or clicking on the delete button above the email message. … (read more)

When I go through my email list, I delete the currently highlighted (selected) email by using the delete button or clicking on the delete button above the email message.

As I do this, every few messages, instead of just the selected email being deleted, another email higher up the list (newer in the list) also gets deleted.

I have noticed this with a recent update of Thunderbird in the last month or two.

Since installing Supernova, I find a huge (multiple minute) delay whenever I open a folder to a new tab or window. There was zero delay on the prior version to open a folder, so it appears to be specific to Supernova. I'm surprised that no one else has mentioned it on the forums yet, so it seems it might just be something about my particular setup. Can anyone help me diagnose what I might be doing wrong?

When viewing e-mail in the lower-right (Preview?) panel, some are marked as read immediately and others take longer or don't get marked as read at all. I opened the Error Console and I see some recurring errors:

  1. NS_ERROR_CONTENT_BLOCKED from FaviconLoader.jsm:580:19
  2. TypeError: accounts.filter(...)[0].identities[0] is undefined from " background.js:631:27"

Are these related? How can I get rid of them so I have a clean error console?

The "identities" error happens whether or not I have an identify set for the account and whether or not Folder Accounts extension is activated on not. I have tried disabling all extensions (Cardbook, FolderAccount, QuickFilters, QuickFolders, Remove Duplicate Messages) but it still occurs on some specific messages. After restarting Thunderbird, the NS_ERROR_CONTENT_BLOCKED still occured but the Identities error stopped.

I turned on the extensions one-by-one and the Identities error came back and the CONTENT error remained.
