Web addresses for a favorite come up in middle of page. Clicking on one I get the ad behind it

Just switched to foxfire from IE. Problem is that when I open a favorite the web addresses in that favorite come up in the middle of the screen (unlike at the side with IE). Clicking on a website sends me to the advertiser behind the address. Help.

Please update your plugins:

Please import your favorites from the bookmarks menu.

If the bookmark continues to do this, please delete the bookmark and bookmark a new one. Consider also a malware scan.
