I find myself in an unfortunate situation; my computer was remotely accessed without my permission, my email and data compromised, identity stolen and more. While I have been working on that, and reporting such things to the appropriate companies and authorities, I am left in one of many unfortunate situations. My Firefox account was signed in, thus leaving passwords in the manager compromised, as visible as if it were someone sitting at my computer with it unlocked. I am working to change those passwords, documenting them offline, but I am worried to sign into my Mozilla account on a desktop computer, in the event that any malicious add-ons or extensions were installed. 1. Does being signed in to the mobile Mozilla leave me at risk of Spyware if any such add-ons or extensions were installed to the desktop client? 2. With the add-on and extension auto-sync that happens with signing into a Firefox account, I am worried that even if I buy a new computer, modem and router, that signing into the Firefox account could risk compromising the new computer and network. Can these add-ons and extensions be removed or unlinked from the account in any way without signing in on a desktop/laptop?

I just downloaded Firefox and came to the page for importing data to Firefox, where it says " Import browser data" followed by a box containing "Microsoft Edge" in the next line, then

Select the data you’d like to import. Favorites Saved passwords Browsing history Form autofill data

then the prompt to Import

Is this a trick for Edge to import the data rather than Firefox or as it should be for Firefox to Import the data including that in Edge? As you might have guessed - I don't trust Edge or Microsoft one little bit.

I have had a google account and a YouTube Channel (zoonotics@gmail.com) for decades. I recently added a new google email (drzoonotics@gmail.com) and accustomed my old YouTube channel for zoonotics@gmail.com with the new email, drzoonotics@gmail.com. On other browsers when I comment, the old YouTube account with the new email shows up as the commentor. Today, on my new Firefox browser.I discovered that the new email had created another YouTube channel which showed up as my ID for a comment on another YouTube channel. I deleted the new YouTube channel but, when I comment with the brand new Firefox browser, the old YouTube channel I deleted shows up. How can I correct that?

Hi all, I'm having an odd problem. For some time now, whenever I look at a list of programs on my computer, Firefox shows up twice. In the last week or so, a new problem has cropped up. When I click on a link in Thunderbird, Firefox opens, but it's like I'm in a totally new instance of Firefox. My browsing history doesn't exist, it will not remember that I have already told Firefox to always open Zoom when I click on a Zoom link, and if I'm streaming a radio station, that tab will be in a separate window rather than in a new tab as it was before. What's going on here?

I am a new convert from Chrome to Firefox and have been using OneTab to keep a list of current tabs. I recently started using Firefox TabGroups to create groups to store the tabs I open the most often. After a reboot, however, all 4 of the TabGroups I created yesterday are completely gone today. As I have a water-cooled system, and don't leave my computer on overnight out of best practices, I need to be able to shut down at the end of day and come back the following day and be able to use the same TabGroups.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!

I logged out of my account on firefox and deleted all local data using the privacy settings, I then uninstalled Firefox (on my mac) and I was expecting my passwords to be removed.

I reinstalled firefox and the passwords were still there without me logging in to my account (sync). This is a big thing for me from a security perspective as it means the passwords to login were still left somewhere on my machine without my knowledge.

When you sign out of your account on firefox can you please make it incredibly obvious these are left somewhere and how to delete them / or even better make it default that they are removed from my machine during logout / removal of the app?

For some reason my Firefox has started to become much slower when I view / watch anything in full screen, it doesn't matter from where. A Twitch stream in full screen? The Video Player becomes slow, even using the escape key to leave fullscreen takes a bit. Youtube video in fullscreen? Same thing happens. No matter what site is being used, if I go full screen on any video player, everything becomes suuuper laggy. I've tested other browsers and they don't seem to have that issue so it's not a hardware or connection issue.
