Just did another browser update and running 152.0.2 (aarch64)

when will the free vpn become available to me? I've been reading and watching for the invite box on the toolbar and don't see it.

I have no desire to interact with Google, Bing, or Perplexity, and as a rule I don't want outside parties (such as Firefox/Mozilla) deciding for me which search engines or other service providers I see advertising for. (And yes, seeing that "G" logo somewhere is advertising for Google.) I'm assuming that these companies are paying to be pre-loaded as search providers in Firefox, and I understand that Firefox needs this financial support if it's going to continue providing a browser.

After upgrading, I've always gone into the settings and removed these search providers - I don't want to see them offered as search options, and to be honest, I don't even want to see their names in the settings screens.

Now with Firefox 152, I find that I'm not able to delete these pre-loaded search providers anymore. I can turn off a switch to disable them, but there's no way to totally delete them from the list anymore. There's even a [in the documentation] which explicitly says that the pre-loaded search providers cannot be removed, only hidden.

'WHY can I not delete them?

Is there a technical reason, i.e. would the browser stop working if they were removed? Are some companies paying extra to not be delete-able, and it just happens that every one that's pre-loaded in Firefox 152 decided to pay the extra money? Or did Mozilla just make an arbitrary decision to reduce the level of control that users have over their own browsers?

The new government site bom.gov.au loads but flickering, it was working a few month ago but illegible now. Works fine in Private Mode and in MS Edge

last night when i closed the system down, i had 5 spacial tabs with names, and apx 50 other tabs open, come to start the system this morning.. all gone.. nothing.. just a new firefox.. all my history.. gone... this is not good, as the 5 spacial tabs that i had where from seriten sits that need to be their,and now.. just gone.. the lot... and all the setting are correct..

The details:

1.) After downloading the update, my antivirus scanner reports an infected file (see screenshots / message + path).

2.) When I try to “Restart Firefox to complete the update,” Firefox briefly “disappears” (whatever happens there) and then “reappears”—but the prompt “Restart Firefox to complete the update” is still there. Unfortunately, this can be repeated as many times as you like without anything changing.

3.) Restarting the computer (Platform: macOS Tahoe 26.5.1) does not resolve the issue either (see screenshot). I always performed previous updates before shutting down the computer—and the next day (since Firefox, as expected, had been closed and restarted), the updated version of Firefox was running.

4.) The suggested solution is to download the “Firefox installer.” But that doesn’t help me, since I need “Firefox DEVELOPER.”

Would uninstalling Firefox DEVELOPER and reinstalling it >WITHOUT DATA LOSS< be a solution??

I CANNOT log into my Facebook account since Firefox launched your VPN. I didn't sign UP for the VPN but I'm troubleshooting and the VPN launch happened at the same time I was denied access to Facebook. Can you FIX this problem????? It is infuriating!!!! I can SEE the page and friends can SEE the page which means it hasn't be LOCKED or deleted. I just can't access my own page - not with my phone # or email. I have been working on this since SUNDAY and I am the Press/Media liaison for a number of organizations. This SNAFU is going to get me fired if I can't get back on social media! There's GOT to be someone in your organization who can connect me with an actual human being to FIX THIS!!! PLEASE

I have installed Firefox VPN, but it is disabled by default so I have to enable it whenever I use it . How can I change the default setting to make it on by default

I paid for a service that I now found is offered by you for fre.e. Why should I continue to support Firefox? What are you doing for me that is supposed to engender loyalty? Are you joining the litany of big companies purporting to be trustworthy and supportive of those of us who don't want to be lied to? Want to earn my trust? Refund my money ... or that trust will be forever destroyed. Please advise when you will refund my money? Thank you. False advertising is not the way to cultivate trust. Years and years, destroyed in a single greedy move. Shame on you.

When uploading a file to attach to another app...the upload window opens up in dark mode. I don't like this and I did not change anything but it happens repeatedly. i have checked all options in settings to make sure the light mode is checked. Why is this happening. i did not change anything. Please advise. Thanks
