Hi

I have a weird situation while starting firefox

firefox closed unexpectedly while starting

I've tried to start in safe mode but it didn't work

I've tried many solutions about this issues but none of them works for me

but I've noticed that when I start firefox from another application it works fine

for example

I have battlefield 3 installed in my pc , so when I open this game it always open my default browser which is in my case ( firefox ) and at this situation firefox open without crashing ??

I tried to get the report crash but i get this message

windows cannot find .... make sure you typed the name correctly

You may have a problem with the startup page or with session restore.

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Delete the sessionstore.js file and possible sessionstore-##.js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

You can try to set the home page to about:blank temporarily to test if that helps.

Try to create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

See "Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile":

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.
