My DreamQuest mini-computer has pre-installed Windows 11, but your Mozilla installer says I have a pre-version 10 Windows installed. Something's wrong?

Windows 11 is basically based on the same NT 10.0 as Windows 10 is as you can see at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_NT#Releases

The Firefox 158.0.1 UserAgent on Windows 10 and 11 shows the same. Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:158.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/158.0

Some incorrectly think the Firefox UA is frozen to show Firefox on Windows 11 to look as if you have Windows 10. There is no NT 11.0 as Microsoft did not base Windows 11 on a new NT like they did with past Windows.

Thanks for your reply. However, I am still in limbo as regards getting Mozilla Firefox to work or install on my minicomputer. Guess I will have to abandon Mozilla, which I hate, as it had been serving me so well until this new version arrived. Thanks, anyhow, but let me know if there are any 'go around' tricks available.

Your question was why is Firefox saying I have Windows 10 when you actually have Windows 11.

Now you say you cannot install the Firefox web browser?

Is the system you used to posted this thread the same system you are having this issue on? if so then it appears you have Firefox 158.0 installed on Windows and is working.

Btw it is Mozilla Firefox or Firefox for short.
