Whats the different between version 153.0esr and 140.13.0esr. And how do I upgrade if needed.

I'm confuse because 140.13.0esr was just updated on my system. What am I not understanding as far as versions goes.

Check the TB153.0esr Release Notes for what's new. https://www.thunderbird.net/thunderbird/153.0esr/releasenotes/

TB140.13.0esr is still part of the 140esr series. There will be two more 140.xesr releases for overlap between the time of a new release and the end-of-life of the previous release. After that you'll be automatically updated to 153.0.xesr. TB 153.0esr is the next TB ESR series for one year.
