No VPN logo, no setup prompt
Firefox just updated to Ver. 150, with an announcement tab telling about Firefox VPN. There is no invitation to set up, and no VPN logo. Neither is there one in the Customize Toolbar panel.
What now?

The Firefox built-in VPN is offered as a progressive rollout to users in the U.S., U.K., Germany and France, as mentioned in the Firefox 149 release notes. It is also offered to users in Canada, starting in Firefox version 150. It is not available to everyone, even if you are in one of these locales.
If the built-in VPN is available, you would see a VPN icon in the top-right corner of the toolbar, that opens a prompt to turn on the VPN. You would also need to sign in to a Mozilla account. For more infomation, see the Use built-in VPN in Firefox article.
If you wish, you can post your feedback about the Firefox built-in VPN to the Mozilla Connect thread.
I am in Canada, my ISP is in Canada, my device was purchased and set up in Canada ... I'm running Win 11, with Firefox V. 150.
How is it determined which of us get access along with V. 150, and which of us get a tease and nothing more? Or did I misunderstand what is meant by "It is not available to everyone, even if you are in one of these locales"?
You are the techie people: if you have an algorithm that bars some users, there would seem to me to be no reason why you couldn't use the same algorithm to determine who gets access and who doesn't. Doing so would have respsected the time and emotional resources of those of us who struggled to gain access to a product that was apparently never on offer.
Perhaps you might also want to look into why my Mozilla AND Firefox login credentials were denied by the Support page, and why I then got a 502 error message. Both have now been cleared up. I note also that Firefox has without notifying users installed a new default, namely to let Windows Security demand a fresh login to Windows every time an attempt is made to access the Firefox password handler, or to log in to Mozilla Support.
I don't want Windows monitoring my internet activity ... it was one of the reasons I originally chose Firefox. Time sure changes things. All the more reason to be interested in Firefox's VPN offering.
Hi, the selection is completely random and it will be extended during the next 1-2 months to 100%.
About 502 error, this is an issue of this support website. Your credentials weren't denied, it's just an error.
