Depends on whether or not you use that profile and what is in it. Do you want help understanding what’s in it?

Better answer: if you do not need the profile, deleting it is safe. If you want help knowing which profile is in use, seeing what is in each profile, et cet. before you delete that profile, I can help.

I do not know if it matters whether you delete it in Thunderbird or in the file system. I would do it in Thunderbird: help menu - troubleshooting info - about: profiles.
