Thunderbird Scam Detection - Explaining the cause
I receive email from a couple of legitimate sources and they always come up as potential scams. I'd like to know precisely why they've been flagged so I can let the sender know they've got an issue with their email.

I don't know how we would know that. Are the messages being marked as spam at the server or within thunderbird?
I've never seen a complete explanation of TB's 'scam detection', and the user is only able to turn it on or off. This article might give some clues as to what is in your senders' messages that triggers the warning:
