For years I have used Thunderbird to download emails from my website but this morning it is not connecting? Help please?

re :download emails from my website Is this a website you own and it is hosted by a company? What is the name of that webhost ? eg: Fasthosts

Do you get an error message? If yes, what is that error word for word - post image if it helps. Or does it just saying trying to connect continually ?

Is this effecting download and sending? Is it an imap account or POP ?

Have you just updated from a 68 version to a 78 version ? If yes, it is possible the server is not using up to date TLS, in which case try reseting the TLS as instructed here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/thunderbird-78-faq#w_after-upgrading-to-thunderbird-78-i-cannot-receive-or-send-email-messages

Thanks for your suggestion but after a few minutes the emails downloaded to Thunderbird without altering anything so..................
