Graphics elements are replaced by code in messages I forward

When I try to "forward" an email I have received, the graphic elements in the received email are replaced by their http links. Here is an example:

I've not been able to figure out how to replace the embedded links with the actual graphics they reference. The people that receive my forwarded emails get the links too, rather than the graphics.

Any help much appreciated.

Try forwarding the source email to me as an attachment to matt_au at GMX dot com.

That meant don't click the forward button, but the drop arrow beside it and selecting as attachment from the list. I need to see original source, not what Thunderbird has done with it..
