Why is Account Settings under Tool tab no longer there. This is the only way I can get to my newsgroup.

Very disappointed that the Account Settings under Tool tab no longer is available. I MUST be able to enter my username and password to get my newsgroup. No good under Account Settings under View Tab.

Hi BJ, If a newsgroup requires a username and password, you should get a prompt from the password manager when you try connecting to the server. For more information, check out Password Manager - Remember, delete and change passwords in Thunderbird

Hi BJ, Looking at your system details, I see that you're on Linux. On Linux, Account Settings has always been in the Edit menu.

This is no good. Can not get my newsgroup this way. I must enter username and password and then I will get a confirmation. Why is it different for Linux. Very disappointed. My brother has a Mac and all is okay.
