Installed thunderbird and followed the directions on this page:

it says i need to download the ImportExportTools addon to migrate my emails from WLM however when I try to download the addon it tells me it is corrupt and won't allow me to install.

strange though that the actual instructions for thunderbird tell you to download the addon but mozilla won't let you, you have to find a work-around.
