Junk Mail Log Empty
I've been using Thunderbird for some weeks now. I have received 100+ messages during that time and have told it that 30+ of them are junk. The training.dat file is increasing in size, but it never shows in the Adaptive Junk Mail Log - that window is permanently empty, so I can't see what (if anything) it's doing.
Regardless of that, it hasn't detected a single message as junk, unless I specifically mark it as "Junk". The Junk folder only gets populated when I tell it that it's Junk.
I have the options set to "Move to Junk Folder" when marked as junk; Mark messages determined to be junk as Read; Enable Active Junk Filter Logging.
What am I supposed to be seeing. I would've thought it would have marked at least a few messages as junk by now.
The version is 45.2.0

You mention the selections in the Options window: Have you set up the rest of the Junk Mail Controls in the Account Settings?
see example in image below
Ah. I didn't know I had to do it per account. I only have one account, so it never occurred to me to be account-specific. I have now enabled it for my sole account, and will let you know how I get on.
It now appears to be Junking mail that it thinks is junk.
However, the adaptive training log is still empty.
Confirm this is selected: 'Tools' > 'Options' > 'Security' > 'Junk' tab
- select: 'Enable adaptive junk filter logging'
- click on OK
Make hidden files and folders visible:
In Thunderbird
- Help > Troubleshooting Information
- click on 'Show Folder' button
a new window opens showing contents of profile name folder
- Close Thunderbird now
- scroll down and locate this file: junklog.html
Q: What size is junklog.html file ?
Q: What version of Thunderbird are you using? Q: What OS are you using?
