How do I export my Gmail account contacts and import them to Mozilla Thunderbird and to Microsoft Office Outlook 2016?
In my web web Gmail on Google Chrome I have a large number of contacts that I need to export to a .csv file on my computer to allow me to import them to my Thunderbird and Microsoft Office Outlook accounts. How do I do this?
Or how can I export my Gmail contacts and directly import them to Thunderbird and to Microsoft Office Outlook 2016? I have Thunderbird on my desktop. And I have Microsoft Office 2016 Outlook on my laptop. How do I import my Gmail contacts to my installed email clients?
I did find how to how I merge email messages to between accounts. This, however, does not address my problem with email contacts.
As always, thanks for your help.

You need to go to Google, and ask them how to export your contacts from their service is CSV format.
Xenos has addressed how to import a CSV file into Thunderbird. How you get anything into Microsoft Outlook is something you need to ask Microsoft as it is their product. I certainly have no idea. I do not use any Microsoft products other than Windows these days, and I have no intention o purchasing a copy at $169.
Personally I would say you need to install the gContactSync add-on and forget the CSV stuff entirely as it is obviously beyond your level of competence with a computer. This is demonstrated by your repetition of your original question when the part pertaining to Thunderbird has been answered.
On the toolbar then
Type gcontactsync into the search box on the right of the screen When the add-on appears click the install button. Set your account details in the add-ons options and Thunderbird will keep your contact in sync with Gmail.

Go to gmail's web page. Select Contacts.
Select More. If you're in the new Contacts, it will offer you a link to the old.
Select More (see attached)
In Thunderbird, go to the Address Book, select Tools then Import.
See the last part of this article about importing: http://xenos-email-notes.simplesite.com/417788922

I regret that Zenos did not adequately address my problem. I've quoted the matter above. I need much more information, please.
Resolution to exporting/importing my Gmail contact to a file, and to Thunderbird, and to Microsoft Office Outlook, would likely be a multi-step process. Need more help, please. Thanks.
