Thunderbird is displaying the wrong name in the from or correspondents columns in some of my emails. The displayed names that are wrong are from other emails received. For example, one email in the from column is displaying Nancy, but the email is from Grainger with a different email address. I have received emails from Nancy but she is not affiliated with Grainger. This issue is happening with many, but not all, emails. A name displayed in the from column that has nothing to do with who sent the email.

Edit address book entry displays only DELETE and CANCEL at the bottom of the edited entry. The rightmost border may be obscured as the display does not allow for scroll.

i want to add the multiple addresses in a special address book to the distribution of an email

how do i do that?

(i tried putting in the name of the address book... that didn't work)

In Firefox, to send an email, you click on the NEW EMAIL button in the tool bar and the email app appears. When you click on the TO button to add email addresses, the ADD RECIPIENT page appears and a list of people and their email addresses normally appear.

THERE IS NO LIST OF PEOPLE AND EMAIL ADDRESSES. They have been moved to the PEOPLE folder on the left side tool bar below the top MAIL icon. The email list in the PEOPLE folder is still in tact

My question is how do I correct this error which appears to have happened during an update.

One would think if you highlight the PEOPLE email list it could be moved back to the ADD RECIPIENT list but that does not appear to be possible.

What is the solution????????

I start to make a new email message. I start typing in the recipient's email. Auto-complete finishes the address but misspells it. The recipient's email in all the address lists have it correctly. I recently saw the light and came over from Outlook. I imported my Outlook address list. It was correct in Outlook. Newest version of Thunderbird. thunderbird-MSIX - 1.0

Recently, when reviewing my emails the correspondent is NOT correctly listed. It's another entry in my contacts with no connection to the email, which IS in my contacts. It's getting worse and worse, happening more frequently. The header info is correct within the email, but it doesn't display correctly in the correspondent field. Checked my email provider, and they are listed correctly there.

How do I get the correct correspondent to be listed for the corresponding email within thunderbird?

Got new internet provider. Old provider has blocked or frozen me out of my prior email account. I need to see my contact list and provide those people with my new address.

I want to move some contacts from one mailing list to another. How do I do that?

How do I add a contact to an existing mailing list? The contact is already in my address book and is not a new contact.

I continually get this message from Thunderbird: https://p123-contacts.icloud.com is requesting your username and password. I have entered apple pw but it never stops. Anyone else seen this?

Thunderbird is used on a domain network of 100 computers, all connected to a Carddav address book. About 10 computers have stopped syncing their address book. Reconnecting the address book doesn't help. Newly added email addresses don't sync. Everything is fine on the other computers, all running Windows 10.
