I need to remove obsolete addresses.

Usually, highlighting an email address in addressbook, then doing a rightclick displays a menu with the option to delete. What happens when you do that?

There should also be a trashcan icon and the word 'delete' at bottom of the edit menu.

I have tried everything for this issue. How ridiculous something as basic should be so impossible. Right clicking gives a shaded out delete. Highlighting and using delete key in keyboard does not work. I am in the correct address book. grrrrrrrr

Just a wild thought: check in file explorer that abook.sqlite is not read-only.
