총 7개의 계정을 등록하여 Thunderbird 로 사용중입니다.

7개의 계정중 유독 한개의 계정만 계속 비밀번호가 틀리다고 비밀번호를 재접속 하라고 요청하고 있습니다.

제가 사용중인 노트북과 데스크톱 둘다 같은 문제가 발생되고 있습니다.

I selected my composing font type and color in setting. When I start to compose an email, the font type and text color are shown as I selected. However, as soon as I start typing the text, the color goes to default (black).

I am requesting immediate assistance with a critical and persistent problem in Thunderbird.

For my Google Workspace account max@dantanas.com

, Thunderbird refuses to create or recognize a Junk/Spam folder. This is not a cosmetic issue — it directly affects email safety, filtering, and daily usability.

Summary of the Issue

Thunderbird does not automatically create a Junk or Spam folder for this account.

Attempts to manually create a Junk or Spam folder fail or are ignored.

Thunderbird’s junk filtering settings for this account are disabled or inaccessible, making filtering impossible.

Other clients (Gmail web, Outlook, mobile apps) create and use a Spam folder normally, which shows the problem is specific to Thunderbird.

This problem has persisted across restarts, folder repairs, and full account removal/re-addition.

Why This Is Critical

Without a Junk/Spam folder, Thunderbird cannot move suspected spam anywhere, leaving the inbox vulnerable.

The built-in adaptive junk filter becomes unusable.

Thunderbird does not comply with Gmail’s standard IMAP folder structure.

This issue prevents Thunderbird from functioning as a secure, reliable mail client for this account.

Steps Already Attempted

Removed and re-added the account multiple times.

Forced folder synchronization.

Repaired folders.

Reset folder permissions in Gmail.

Verified IMAP settings (X-GM-EXT-1, special-use flags, etc.).

Tested other devices — only Thunderbird fails.

Expected Behavior

Thunderbird should automatically recognize Gmail’s [Gmail]/Spam folder as the Junk folder OR allow me to assign one manually.

Instead, Thunderbird behaves as if the account is not permitted to have a Junk folder at all, which is incorrect and breaks essential functionality.

I need help determining:

Why Thunderbird is refusing to create or map a Junk/Spam folder for my Google Workspace domain.

Whether there is a known bug with Gmail Workspace integration that causes Junk folder support to fail.

How to force Thunderbird to recognize or create a valid Junk folder.

Whether this issue requires special IMAP flags, folder mapping changes, or intervention from Thunderbird developers.

This is not a minor inconvenience — it prevents Thunderbird from acting as a secure or usable email client for this account. I would appreciate prompt assistance or escalation.

I am sending a message with Thunderbird through my email server Yahoo. The sending has worked flawlessly until yesterday afternoon; I am getting the following error.

Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.mail.yahoo.com timed out. Try again.

This works fine with Outlook but not Thunderbird since yesterday afternoon.

Hi everyone - and big thanks in advance for considering my request: I have/ had windows 11 on my old machine and windows 11 on my new machine; because my 'old computer' is not running anymore at all (liquid damage), I can no longer start Thunderbird and follow the 'export tool function' (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/thunderbird-export) and thus can only do the manual transfer (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/moving-thunderbird-data-to-a-new-computer); I didn't think that I would need to go through the export tool steps when I saved the Thunderbird profile folder regularly as backup on the cloud; yet when I started Thunderbird on my new machine following the above steps by moving the Thunderbird profile folder manually, the result is that - although Thunderbird is 'running' and the mailbox is functioning properly - the key folders are empty (i.e. the sub-folder structure is completely lost, in fact there are no individual emails at all); the issue seems to be that the size of the Thunderbird profile folder is too large (the "Profiles" folder has a size of 20.5 GB) for doing this transfer via copy & paste of the Thunderbird profile folder from the cloud (I also tried USB) to the new machine; I understand that the size issue via the manual transfer could be 'overcome' just by starting Thunderbird on the 'old machine' and following the above steps explained under mozilla support; yet that's no longer an option; what could I do please?

I have Thunderbird installed on my business desktop, and also my laptop. Both work well.

However my main usage, for obvious reasons, is the desktop. That's where I usually respond to customers, save the messages for later, etc. The laptop is used mainly when I travel; I can respond to customers who contact me, and let them know I can process their requests when I return.

The problem I'm having: when I receive new messages on my laptop, it immediately deletes them from the server. They never appear on my desktop, making it much harder for me to process their requests later on.

This doesn't happen the other way around. When I open Thunderbird on my laptop, I receive all the recent e-mails that have already been viewed on my desktop. I don't mind that so much, but I have a problem when the laptop deletes those e-mails to make them unviewable on my main desktop.

I'm sure there's a setting for this, but I can't find it. Can anyone here point me in the right direction?

Over 4000 previously deleted emails suddenly started loading to my Inbox. I have tried to delete them but get a message - "Unable to write the email to the mailbox. Make sure the file system allows you write privileges, and you have enough disk space to copy the mailbox". There appears to be plenty of disk space and as far as I'm aware the file system allows write privileges as I am Administrator. I have managed to delete the messages using Up Function+Delete, (which doesn't write to the Delete folder), and have cleared all from Webmail but still have the same problem. I am also unable to receive any new emails. The email is POP3 configured. I have ensured that my Thunderbird if up to date. I operate Windows 10.

This is taking place on my desk top. My phone still has all my email accounts. Not sure if all my contacts are in my phone but way more than my desk top. Should mention new computer in Oct.24 with change from windows 10 to windows 11. Two thing, one, my other email accounts are no longer listed in thunderbird. Still have my main email with it's folders. I did the sinking thing with the phone still missing. Two, My contacts are mostly missing. Had Friends list, Business list, Family list and so on, all gone.
