how dare you send my searches to Google when duckduckgo is selected?
My search settings? Duckduckgo. Your actual search engine used? google.

I have just tried to replicate this and Firefox for Android appears to be working fine.
When you search using DuckDuckGo, do you see the icon for that search engine in the address bar?
