firefox upgrade wont keep me logged into dailymail and keep registering as a new browers on Facebook
i have to keep logging into my profile on dailymail.co.uk everytime i revisit the page after closing firefox before i didnt need to
also when I log onto facebook that i have logged in with a new browsers, everytime

Details like websites remembering you (log you in automatically) are stored in a cookie.
- Create a cookie 'allow' exception to keep such cookies, especially in case of secure websites and when cookies expire when Firefox is closed.
- Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: Exceptions
In case you are using "Clear history when Firefox closes":
- do not clear the Cookies
- do not clear the Site Preferences
- Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history": [X] "Clear history when Firefox closes" > Settings

Note that clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, and passwords.
Clearing cookies will remove all specified (selected) cookies including cookies with an allow exception that you would like to keep.

Do you have any add-ons or external software related to privacy or tracking that might be cleaning out your Facebook cookies?
Do you use any special connection software, such as a private VPN, which might be changing the IP address of your computer in between Facebook sessions? Some sites require a new login if your IP address changes. (That is to protect against session hijacking, for example, at wireless hotspots.)
no i dont any privacy or tracking software or clear my history when closing firefox, and my IP address has always been the same
Could you describe your problem with Facebook with more details?
Does Facebook remember you if you leave Facebook tabs open and use "Show my windows and tabs from last time" for the startup setting?

i keep several tabs open never facebook, and firefox save them when i close

Maybe this happened because you have updated to Firefox 26.0 recently.
I assume that the Facebook server stores this data and notifies if it detect changes in the way that the browser reports itself.
