we have 20" screen firefox will not display the hole screen only 1/3 in the middle

You need to put Firefox in Full Screen Mode.

To do this, click the Firefox button in the upper left corner. Then click the full screen button.

To exit full screen, mvoe the mouse to the top of the screen, right-click on the tab strip, then click Exit Full Screen Mode.
