As of Firefox 4.0 and newer one needs both Intel (which you have) and at least OSX 10.5+.

The latest version from Mozilla to work on Intel with the old OSX 10.4.x is Firefox 3.6.* (3.6.24 is current) is at http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all-older.html

If you had a Power Mac PPC instead then there would have been a third-party option.
