I just upgraded my Mac (OSX 10.6.8) with the lastest Java released this week 13.6.0 version. When trying to open a new window with the Java Applet, Firefox crashes and the error report comes up. This happens all the time where it had not before this update from Firefox 8 and Java.

I have looked for some information on your help site but want to know more about when this bug will be fixed. Nothing works as far as disabling plug-in's, other fixes, etc... Please inform what to do next. PLEASE FIX THIS! Thank you for your help.

That is a known issue and has caused updates on Mac to get suspended to allow investing this problem.

I am not sure what the first link is supposed to be?? I see only files on Mac updates and not understanding what this shows for fixes about the issue to Firefox 8? The second link does not say what to do when the Java window crashes upon opening...it's not a back button problem. Also, thank you for your reply but the proverbial question is...when is this bug going to be fixed? I play Pogo games and use Java Applet windows to play the games. Some games work...most don't. Is this something Firefox engineers are working on to get resolved soon? I just want to know if I have to do steps to try to fix this or is it a waiting game on my part till it gets repaired? Why do you upgrade these things and they don't work? Very frustrating!

If the updates are suspended like cor-el says then that normally means that there will be an update as soon as possible. So yes, they are working on a fix for this problem.
