Wont be able to use firefox 4 until the Microsoft windows media player firefox plugin works with this website :http://www.ielts-exam.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=339&Itemid=64
I would really like to update firefox 4 but at present there is a website where the audio no longer functions and this is crucial for my English lessons, so was wondering if this will be sorted out soon...An example of the website is the following link:
http://www.ielts-exam.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=339&Itemid=64
As you can see audio needs to be played, this has always worked with previous versions of firefox but not with firefox 4
Thank you very much
Oliver

The example you give works ok for me with both Firefox 4 and 3.6
You will need to troubleshoot your system so look at no sound in firefox & Play Windows Media files in Firefox with the Windows Media plugin it is also worth clearing your cache and cookies. see https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Error%20loading%20web%20sites?s=loading+web+page&as=s#w_interrupted-or-reset-connection
If you open the link on another browser you will see a play button which allows you to play the recording for that page, this no longer appears on firefox 4. I can open the page of course, but I cannot play the recording. I have done all the mentioned in your email, but sadly it doesn't work, so for the time being I am back to 3.6.
The image below shows what should appear...
Thank you anyway for your time

I did try the page you linked to in both firefox 3.6 and firefox 4 on Windows XP, the embeded media player rendered slightly differently but the important thing was in both versions of firefox it did play the audio
I'll try on windows xp, but nowhere to be seen on vista :( I've tried everything: Uninstalling/reinstalling browser and plugin Cleared cache and cookies
Don't know what else I can do...pity it isn't more straight forward, because I have many students who need this website :(
