Updates cause bookmarks to fail

Every time Firefox updates, my bookmarks are deleted. The still show up, but the links are empty. VERY FRUSTRATING! I have to reestablish every bookmark and that takes up valuable time.

There is a [bookmarkbackups] folder in the Profile

You can use [about:config] to see if you still have an alternate Profile.

So future wise you can either copy the whole Profile folder or the [bookmarkbackups]
