Cannot uninstall web apps with Firefox on Android
I have installed web apps to firefox on my phone by using menu -> Add to Home Screen Now that they are installed, though, I cannot get rid of them. Even if I delete the icons from my home screen, they show up in the menu when I long tap on the firefox app icon and still act as apps there. I have looked for a way to remove them and have not found one. Is there no other option than wiping firefox's data?

Yeah, this is a bit confusing with Firefox on Android. When you “Add to Home Screen,” Firefox creates what’s basically a Progressive Web App (PWA) shortcut. Deleting the home screen icon alone doesn’t fully remove it — the entry still shows up when you long-press the Firefox app because Firefox keeps a record of installed PWAs.
Here’s what you can do:
Check in Android Settings
Go to Settings → Apps and scroll for the name of the web app. In some cases, it will appear as a standalone app you can uninstall directly.
Check Firefox Settings
Open Firefox → Settings → Apps (or Add-ons/Web Apps). Depending on your version, there may be a section listing installed web apps with a remove option.
Clear Firefox’s “site settings”
Go to Settings → Site permissions → All sites, find the site you installed, and clear data. This sometimes removes the “installed app” record.
As a last resort
If Firefox won’t let go of them, yes, wiping Firefox’s data (or uninstalling/reinstalling the app) clears them. But that’s the nuclear option, since you’ll lose browsing history, logins, etc.
Unfortunately, Firefox on Android doesn’t yet have a clean “Uninstall PWA” option like Chrome does. Until Mozilla improves this, the best workaround is managing them via Android’s app settings or clearing Firefox’s stored data for that site.
