Recovering old GMail messages

Hello,

I am trying to download about two months of old messages due to a problem that had my computer offline for a while. The backup that used was dated December 12, 2020. My messages in Thunderbird end around December 14 and startup again around February 27, 2021. Is there a way that I can get missing messages downloaded into my local Thunderbird system. The program is setup as a POP connection. I am using Windows 10 Professional.

you can change the google setting to allow all mail for the account to be downloaded and put up with the duplicates that creates, or you can delete the popstate.dat file from your Thunderbird profile and do the same with duplicate messages.
