Is there a way to use an Address Book List of individuals as a basis for a Filter - or some work around to do so? One can currently use a whole Address Book by selecting it, but I need only a subset which is in a List.

Or is there a way to move the contacts that are in a current List to become a separate Address Book which I can then select for filtering?

Create a new address book from File/New in Address Book, name it and close it. Copy contacts from another address book or mailing list by selecting the contacts in the right pane and dragging them onto the new address book icon, while holding Ctrl. The new address book can be used in a filter as in the attached picture by selecting it from the drop-down ("test" in the example).
