An email was not showing remote content - I thought I'd have a play around with the "options" and then selected "allow remote content for ..." now the option button has disappeared - but now I want to block the cotnent so how do I revert this option so that emails from this domain do not show remote content?

I've tried looking in the forum but have failed to find a solution to the problem. One suggestion was to edit the config file changing the content of mail.trusteddomains - but this was already empty.

I am surprised that the option is available remote content but there "button" for selecting then disappears and there is not obvious route to blocking remote content from that domain/address.

Chosen solution

Try this:

'Tools' > 'Options' > 'Privacy' OR 'Menu icon' > 'Options' > 'Options' > 'Privacy'

At the top it says 'Mail content' and to the right of that is 'Exceptions' button. click on that 'Exceptions' button

You should now be able to highlight the 'site' then click on 'Remove Site' button. Then click on 'Close' button. Click on 'OK' to save and close Options.
