Hi Mozilla People,

This concerns a minor but irritating problem in all the most recent versions of Thunderbird I've run.

When sorting through my Inbox, in the past, I would drag each message into the desired subfolder in the left hand column, and if that subfolder was above or below what was visible in the window, by dragging the message to the top or bottom of the window, the left hand column would scroll smoothly.

In the last several T'bird versions, this does not work very well. I drag the message to the top or bottom, but the column hardly scrolls at all. When the column is showing my folders that start with A through G, for example, and I want to put a message into the Weather folder, I have to drag the message to the bottom of the column and then keep moving it a little bit up and down until I finally get to Weather. It's hard on the thumb.

I assume that some setting got changed during one of the upgrades of the application, but I haven't been able to determine what setting, or what to do about it. Can you help?

Thunderbird is running in Linux Mint 22.1 "Xia" with kernel 6.8.0-86-generic, Mate desktop, on a Dell XPS-13 model 9300.

I use Thunderbird as my email client for three different Gmail accounts. One of my contacts in one of these accounts regularly sends me Word documents as attachments from an icloud address. The email comes through on Thunderbird but there is no attachment. When I go straight to Gmail via my browser (Firefox) the attachment is there. None of my other contacts has this issue. The only one affected is the one person using an icloud address.

I just installed thunderbird on a new install of windows 11 25h2 and added my email account. When I click on a message a yellow banner appears at the top of the message. Previously there was a options button I could click that would allow showing the remote content. There is no longer a options button and I cannot get thunderbird to show remote content.

We have been using the Brother MFC-J6940DW iPrint&Scan Attach to email successfully with Thunderbird. It creates a new email and attaches the scanned item to it. Recently it stopped working. Nothing happens and there is no error message. We have run all Windows updates. We have uninstalled and reinstalled the Brother drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled Thunderbird, downgraded Thunderbird to v 143 and 140 from current 144 version. We have confirmed Thunderbird is default mail app and verified in registry that Mozilla Thunderbird is default in HKEY_CURRENT_USER|Software\Clients\mail > (Default) value = Mozilla Thunderbird and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINEISOFTWARE\Clients\Mail > (Default) Value = Mozilla Thunderbird. We have made sure the Firewall talks nice to the Brother Utilities and the ports are ok for Public and Private. Brother tech support says as long as we can do a normal scan that it must be Thunderbird or Windows. Does anyone have any thoughts or other troubleshooting ideas? Thanks in advance. -- Sue

Dear all,

Previously Thunderbird has been saying that I had several unread e-mails in my Inbox. But I was unable to find them.

This morning I opened my Thunderbird and had my e-mails in the Inbox. Then a moment later all the e-mails disappeared. Yet it was still saying that I had five unread e-mails. Thunderbird prompted me to Compact Now which I did. I would be grateful if you could explain me how I can recover my e-mails. Thanks.

Web access to that Yahoo Mail works ... same password.

I recall - I THINK - same thing with a different Yahoo Mail account .... access via web, then got a pop up about allowing THUNDERBIRD. Clicked it and no issue since. Not happened with this account. Tried switch to "Normal Password" .... no joy.

I have two accounts AA and BB (as an example). One of them is my main account (AA) and the other account (BB) is set in such a way that from that account incoming messages automatically are forwarded to my main account (AA) inbox. The only distinction is the column "Receiver". In that column when Receiver is "BB" then it is coming from that account. Now I like to see that message line automatically also in another color to better distinguish the messages. It happens quite often that I reply to the open message from account BB, using account AA. And I didn't want that. Moreover, the recipient sees a different email address in his/her mailbox. That causes confusion.

Is it possible that the message that is automatically forwarded (or sent) from another account, causing the message to appear in my inbox (AA) automatically (now only manually?) in the color that is for example set in the 'Label' menu? So in my In-box I see the messages of two accounts. And to distinguish it easier for me I like to give the message of the other account another color. Is it possible (to make that)?

This message has been partially recovered because an error occurred when it was deleted from the mailbox.

Subject line, etc is blank. On delete, message just pops back up again. Does not appear in webmail.
