Hi, everyone,

I have a strange problem with my TB installation - when I go to repair a folder through it's properies settings, TB deletes BOTH the message (mbox) file and the index (msf) file. There is nothing wrong with either (the folder is fine) - I'm just testing out TB's functionality as I'm moving to it.

The settings are set to always download everything and always keep everything. It's TB version 143. The reason I know the files get deleted is - if I disconnect the Internet connection and click Repair Folder, then go into the profile directory, the mbox file is just gone, while the .msf is sitting at 0Kb waiting for the connection to re-establish. Only the connection is back, TB re-downloads both the index and then ALL the messages in the account...! This is, obviously, highly problematic.

My question is two-fold: - is the expected behavior of the "Repair Folder" button to work offline? Should folder repair be possible even in offline mode? - has anyone else encountered this? I reported this on Bugzilla, along with another fellow who has encountered the same: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1997845 But it appears the developers have a hard time believing it's actually happening...

Hi, Microsoft recently changed the way Shared folders in OneDrive 365 business are managed. I'm referring in particular to folders shared by other users within my organization. Now you have to create a sort of link to the folder which appears in My files. Previously I used the odrive client to sync all my cloud accounts (OneDrive, Dropbox and Google Drive). Because of the changes, those shared folders cannot be synced by odrive anymore and I had to switch to the official Microsoft OneDrive client. With that, I can now sync the folders on my local drive but I cannot attach files from those folders to a Thunderbird message. While the folders appears as a link in the root OneDrive folder when I browse it with Explorer, when I click on the folder I see the files are local copies synced in my filesystem. Yet, Thunderbird cannot access them and gives the attached following Send Message Error: Sending of the message failed. There was an error attaching kickoff_novembre2025_6slide_V2.pptx. Please check that you have access to the file. Obviously I could make a local copy and attach that, but it is not convenient at all. Any fixes available?

It very important to me to be abler to Turn OFF Dark mode when a recent TB update defaulted to that mode.

Why? Because I have vision problems. So I run everything under Windows' "High Contrast" mode, which changes all displayed colors and backgrounds.

Given that is how my system is set,  Windows "flips" your new Dark Mode into a light and low contrast image that I cannot easily read. 

SO For users like me who must depend on Windows High Contrast settings, everything is fine as long as Thunderbird retains the option to TURN OFF DARK MODE. Please be sure to maintain this option Forever, or TB will become unusable to users like me.

I bought a Windows 11 computer that I am transitioning from a Windows 10 computer. I like to start out with a clean slate and install from scratch. I exported my feeds into a.oplm file from the Windows 10 Computer. Opening up the .oplm file is see text as "xmlUrl="https://feed.podbean.com/potcast name/feed.xml". Is that the url entry that I used to enter in the URL for the feed if I manually subscribe to a Thunderbird RSS feed?

I have the correct password and can log into my mail on wowway.net I did not touch anything, it just stopped working. All the POP settings are correct per wowway website. Should I uninstall it? For the last month I have been unable to send outgoing messages from my Thunderbird program. Initially I also stopped receiving messages, but a local commputer technician helped resolve that. I can now receive messages but, if I try to send an email I still get this message: "Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail: Outgoing server (SMTP) error. The server responded: p-impout003.msg-pkvw.co.charter.net cmsmtp 68.235.43.158 blocked. Please see https:// www.spectrum.net/support/internet/understanding-email-error-codes for more information. AUP#Out-1120." I have tried to resolve this through Spectrum and was told I would have to go to Thunderbird Support.

I have 3 different email accounts on Thunderbird. All was working perfectly yesterday. Today, none of the email accounts can connect with their respective email servers. (Two are Verizon/AOL and one is gmail.) I have tried various fixes with no joy. At this point I give up. My email is very important in my life (I'm 81 years old) and Thunderbird is simply way too hard to fix with non-existent help. (Your Community help line is a joke unless you have technical knowledge. Nothing ever quite fits the problem so it is no help at all.)

But that did not help me. I could not get them up and work. So I do hope you can help me to restore the bird to work on condition.

Thuderbird is failing the intial install and then does not allow me to import my previous thinderbird profile since it does not show all files in a directory of from another Mac M1 on my network where it is still functioning. See the following as some processing a failing in this listing.

If more information is needed then let me know otherwise I see if I have and the previous release and try to restore from there. Basic information is not in the system such mail accounts , message filter rules which I use heavily. I had four active mail accounts anw on two were found but was forcing me to logon into two of the four accounts.

Need a fix!!!!!

I am having problems being able to send emails if Surfshark is activated. Been working with Surfshark for the last week or so. So far no luck. FYI: I do run Bidefender, AVG TuneUp and CCleaner. I have added an exception to Bitdefender. No changes to not being able to receive or send emails. None of my settings have changed in Surfshark or Thunderbird. Using Open VPN protocol and am getting a message all the time about Thunderbird trying to connect with connecting to imap.comcast.net and it just stalls there. If it does get sent, it does not get saved to the sent folder.

Also, at times when I close Thunderbird I have to go into task manager and delete before I can open it up again.  Any ideas?  Thanks

Installed Thunderbird 145 (64 bit) on my windows laptop and didn't add any add-ons or theme! I moved from outlook to thunderbird hoping to have a better experience. Aside connecting thunderbird to the mail server, I also converted my former .pst email file into thunderbird file so that I can have access to my former emails. I have problems with some emails that keep cropping in my mail box even though I delete them!! I keep removing them and / Or putting them in the trash but they keep coming!!!

My emails go out and in successively but this problem is giving me a headache and increasing the trash folder. Troubleshooting mode seems to fix it, but as soon as I restart thunderbird, those recurring emails come back!! pls advise what to do next??

Dear, I use my personnal account to contact you for a problem on my Professional Thunderbird mail box. I am using for my job a Professional Thunderbird mail box Version 140.4.0esr (64-bit). Before, I had to enter only the mail adress with password. Now, a double authentification with Microsoft Authenticator is required; but no mobile terminal is dedicated to this mail box so I cannot have access anymore. Do you have a solution ?
